WHY ONLINE TRAINING…

What exactly IS online training? Online personal training is a way for you to reach your fitness and weight loss goals. You can choose to use a gym, or train at home. It also helps you to avoid paying for individual training sessions. You can get a nutrition AND fitness program rolled into one with access to a certified, knowledgable trainer.

Shortly after earning my certification we moved back to my hometown, and I was excited to put my new knowledge into practice. I looked for a job at a local gym. Taking the job was one of the biggest regrets I have as a parent.

PERSONAL TRAINING

So if you didn’t know prior to reading this blog, I’m a personal trainer. I started with my own fitness journey and lost over 40 lbs of fat after my second pregnancy. Losing my own weight, feeling so much better, and having more energy is what drove me to learn more about the body so that I could help other women. In 2013 I got my personal training certificate through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

I love helping people, but when I took the job at the gym, while I loved seeing people and encouraging them, the hours were not ideal for me. The only hours available were from 4 p.m.-9:00 p.m. So basically I would pick up Jac from school, drop her off at home (with my parents) and then head in to work.

I missed dinner, bath time, and bed time. With Joe (my husband) living in a different state and getting ready to deploy it broke my heart that my kids (especially Jac) weren’t seeing much of their parents. It wasn’t right, and for that reason I quit.

MOVING ON LINE

I got into the best shape of my life all from home. Those 40 lbs didn’t come off in a gym…I didn’t need a gym. And neither do you! I didn’t need to find a baby sitter. I didn’t have to worry about interrupting nap time or a feeding schedule. Everything was done from the comfort of my living room. No leering, creepy eyes on me…and no judgement from those who were “in shape”. (Let’s be honest, judgement happens.)

In 2015 I decided to further my education by getting a nutrition certification through Precision Nutrition. I finished the course right before our third child was born. I had so much information, but didn’t know how to get it out to people…it wasn’t until last year that I went through The Online Trainer Academy to get certified to help people…ALL. ON. LINE! Now I can combine my fitness and nutrition experience to help you achieve amazing results that can help improve all areas of your life.

GIVING WOMEN THE BEST

As a woman and mother, I know what it’s like to feel like a stranger in your own body. It’s difficult finding your identity once you become a mother. (It’s almost like an out-of-body experience.) But I take my years of experience in training as well as being a mom of three and a mom of a child with special needs and try to be as sensitive as I can so that I can serve you the best way possible. I want you to succeed, so I make sure I’m with you every step of the way. Get a personalized exercise plan with a key component most personal trainers in a gym setting can’t give you…NUTRITION! Learn simple habits that will make a lifelong impact on your health and wellness to keep the weight off AND help your family.

NUTRITION

If you don’t need the fitness piece, I’m so happy to offer you a stand alone nutrition option. Believe me, it’s the key to weight loss. You CANNOT out work a bad diet. Not even a little. (I’m currently working on losing the weight I’ve put on the last year. Depression and apathy are an awful thing…I’ll share more on that in a later blog.) I’m using the habits and nutrition education I have to help me get that weight off. No starving. No special programs. Nutrition is KEY!
