Why Making Your Workout A Priority Is A Must

Why Making Your Workout A Priority Is A Must…

Prioritizing your workouts is life changing! A good workout really should become a part of your daily routine. We’ve been told for years that working out reduces blood pressure, cholesterol, helps prevent some types of cancers, and helps maintain a healthy body weight as well as a whole lot more. Why, then, is it sooooo difficult to fit working out into our daily schedule? I know for me, it was always an issue of time. At least, that’s what I always told myself. I also made it an issue of, “It’s just not for me. I can’t do that.” Well, I’ve proved I was wrong, because even with three cute kids, a household to run, and an at-home business I make the time every day (or at least 5-6 days a week). I’m more productive now than I was before kids, and I really think the key is my workouts. I’ll tell you about it.

Early Morning Workouts

Most days I get up early. Like 0445, early, and I get my workout in. Currently its 30 minutes of Insanity: Max 30, and after I’m done with that program I’ll be doing a round of 21 Day Fix Extreme which I stream from BOD! (I love BOD so much!) It completely sets the tone of the rest of my day, and at the beginning of 2017 I decided I was going to have a schedule for my day. I would have times I would do things and ONLY do those certain things. And you know what? They actually happened! I was amazed. For me, working out early in the morning gives me an incredible amount of energy. While I may not be fully awake when starting my workout, by the end you’d better believe I have enough energy to deal with three waking kids and get two of them off to school.

It Keeps Me On Track Even When Life Isn’t Right

We humans are creatures of habit for sure! So when  you make something a “habit” or just part of your daily routine, it’s extremely difficult to stop doing the habit. For me, when we moved back in December of 2015 and found ourselves fighting with the local school system for our daughter’s placement (which was so stressful!), I was already in a routine. So “life” didn’t throw me off, and I’m so glad I had that habit. Had I not already been in the habit and made it a daily non-negotiable I know that it would have been easy to give up and even go backward in my journey. I look forward, not backward! While I didn’t make a whole lot of progress during this time, I had a system in place. My husband has told me for years to have a system and plan in places….here it is…Joe was right!! lol I’ve already told him this, but I’m’ acknowledging it publicly now.

You Can Do It Too

What I do isn’t special. I do what I do because I’ve planned to do it and I see the plan through.  I would love to help you figure out a plan that will help you reach your goals. Goals change, and we can always reevaluate. It’s always nice to have help too. That’s what I’m here for. Maybe a 0445 wake up time isn’t for you, but I think working out is for EVERYONE including year. How can I help you get started today?
