Love Food, Lose Weight
I love food! Like really love food! Can you really love food, and lose weight? Of course you can! How I ate my food, and what types of food I ate contributed to me losing 40 lbs of fat. Diet, meaning food intake and not an elimination of food or foods, is a game changer when you want to lose weight. When I tried losing weight, I started with workouts only. I lost 30 of the 40 lbs I wanted/needed to lose. Once I combined it with proper nutrition, it changed everything and my results were even better! I really enjoy food, particularly Asian , Hispanic, and Mediterranean cuisines. After I lost all my weight, I became interested in learning more about the body. I got certified as a personal trainer and level 1 sports nutrition through Precision Nutrition.
I use this word often because it just seems in society these days that there’s general overwhelm. So much information is being thrown at us when we watch the news, search the internet, or watch any type of health and wellness show that we’ve gotten to a point that it seems no one really knows what to do when it comes to nutrition and weight loss. There are thousands of diets out there that you can subscribe to and YOU WILL lose weight, but you have to ask yourself two questions: 1. Will I be happy with this diet? (Is it sustainable?) 2. What will it teach me so that I can keep the weight off once I achieve my goal weight? If you can’t answer ‘yes’ to the first and that you will be educated in keeping your body healthy post diet, then you might want to reconsider what you’re doing…But many times we don’t we won’t be able to maintain a diet or our weight after losing it. This is why most people spend their whole lives yo-yo dieting…
So How Do We Stop The Vicious Cycle?
One of my main goals since receiving my training is to not only encourage and inspire, but to educate! Imagine if YOU could watch your favorite doctors’ show knowing if it was a legitimate health/supplement claim, or hype to pay advertisers who pay him.
