Four Ways To Make Life Less Hectic…
In today’s hectic world, sometimes we just needs some basic things to keep us on track and feel like we’re on top of things. Today, I’m sharing with you the top things that help me feel a little more grounded and not so overwhelmed, especially when I come home from a busy day of running around.
Mess keeps me up at night. I don’t like coming home to a house that’s a wreck. (And it seems to be even more stressful to my husband.)
Keeping up on laundry and not allowing it to pile up is one of the best things I can do to stay a little calmer.
Now even though this helps me, I’m still not that great at staying on top of it. But as I’ve realized how much it helps, I’ve tried to be more aware and a little more on top of it.
Okay, now I know this sounds simple, but I cannot stand to go to bed with dishes in the sink. I like to load up the dishwasher at night and start it so we can start the day off fresh. I also try to download it before we leave for the day. Not coming home to dishes or waking up to them with the counters fairly decluttered makes me feel like I’ve got my life straight.😂
This is something that during my deep depression I really wasn’t able to do. I know it sounds crazy, but literally everything was overwhelming…doing something, not doing something. It sucks! But keeping up on top of the dishes makes me feel good.
Getting in a workout makes me feel awesome! If you’ve been out of the workout game for a while, or never in it before, getting started might be difficult, but you won’t regret it.
Keeping healthy food that’s already prepared in the house…I need to be better about this for sure, but there are few things (especially as a busy mama) that make you feel as good as having easy, healthy food available for you and your family. Mine usually come by way of leftovers. Leftovers are the best!! You can eat them, or transform them easily. It’s a time saver and a way to make sure there’s no waste. (And if you know me, you know I hate waste! There are too many people who need food in this world to be wasting food.)
