ENJOYING FOOD WHILE LOSING WEIGHT
Oddly enough, even though I started this page and got all sorts of certifications for health and weight loss, weigh loss and healthy eating blogs are not my most popular blogs. I think it’s weird.
But when I really stop and think about it, maybe it’s not so weird. In a world bombarding you with “Eat this or do this simple move and lose 20 lbs” here I am telling you that you don’t have to starve yourself or exclude complete food groups. I also share my life and my struggles…sometimes those struggles include not taking care of myself the way I should, but I’m back on track now.
But today I’ll share that enjoying food while losing weight can be a real thing.
THE NEVER ENDING DIET
Are you a woman who has just always dieted? Or maybe a mom who tried diets after gaining baby weight, but to no avail? I get it. It’s hard! And with all the conflicting information out there and quick fixes, it’s no wonder you’re confused, frustrated, and completely over it!
I know there are fitness professionals out there (*hashtag* fitspo) who keep a constantly shredded body, and they share their perfect meals with you on Insta. While there’s nothing wrong with that, there’s also nothing wrong with enjoying your food and life. You can’t eat crappy food all the time and expect to be healthy and fit, but I personally can’t eat salads all the time either. There has to be balance. And I feel that’s what I bring to the table with my certification and program through Precision Nutrition. Habits. It’s all about habits: small changes that add up over time. I fully believe you can eat healthy meals, but also enjoy life and meals that come with it.
WHAT DOES HEALTHY LOOK LIKE?
Well, it depends…
It will depend on where you’re starting and your desired outcome.
There are also factors like health markers: blood pressure, cholesterol, sugar levels, and resting heart rate to name a few.
I also think that how you feel about yourself and your mental health are paramount. Honestly, mindset and how you feel are super important.
So if you’re tired of doing the same things: yo-yo dieting, taking pills or supplements, restricting food groups and/or starving yourself, then maybe try my approach. You get what you put in, but YOU set the parameters.
